1. Limit your palette: Keep colors to a minimum (3-4 colors)

Three to four colors is the ceiling for a clean, legible result.

2. Size matters: We recommend 1" x 4", 3" x 2", or 3” round.

3. Simplify taglines
Most taglines don't translate well to thread. Omit them unless they run two to three words. 

4. Proper placement: right side (non pocket) provides greatest visibility.

5. Design for the medium.

Thread isn't ink. Sharp edges and tight curves embroider best at a larger scale — fine detail gets lost at small sizes.

6. Match colors. Not every Pantone color has a corresponding dyed, spooled thread. We'll match as closely as the medium allows.
